      Why are other news sources which also have paywalls not banned? (nytimes, wsj, bloomberg, financial times, etc)

        Paywalls are fine on HN as long as there's a reliable linkable bypass.

          One of the standard link bypasses seems to work here[0] though. Is that not a reliable workaround here?

            If we're flagkilling stories with workable paywall bypasses, you should ping hn@ycombinator.com (don't assume they see the thread), and I'd expect them to unkill it.
