You can do a Wikipedia search, trademark searches in your target/home country, domain registrar checks, and search on Google Maps, OSM, Apple Maps.
There are lots of targeted ways to find companies by name.
Now if you find something unused, you may be wise to check UrbanDictionary, KnowYourMeme, and your 12-year-old niece. And eventually, Google will find you.
By the way, naming something good or positive can sometimes have an effect of eclipsing or erasing the prior bad associations. Perhaps in a few generations, children will only remember "Baby Doc" as their favorite store, divorced from geopolitics.
Rio is the terminal multiplexer in Plan 9
The confusion with Plan 9 is probably part of the reason this jumped onto the front page.
Besides that name clash, it apparently competes with another terminal emulator that was creatively named "vt100".
Scrolling over the page I did a double take when I saw the benchmark. No way a vt100 can do 221 MiB/s! Who even types that fast anyway?

What would be the advantage of Rio? Curious, not trying to start an argument.

Perhaps that because it seems bypass too much layer to get gpu rendering directly
